Financial help to study

Teacher Recruitment Scholarships (Primary)

Career Changer scholarships (Māori Medium) for study in 2010 have now closed.

School leaver and undergraduate scholarships (Māori Medium) for study in 2010 open on 1 February 2010 and information about how to apply will be available from 1 January 2010.

Teach NZ has made some significant changes to its scholarships which come into effect for study starting in semester one, 2010.

TeachNZ scholarships continue to target areas where there is the highest need. In 2010 these areas are: maths, technology, physics, chemistry, home economics, te reo Māori, Māori medium and Early Childhood.

A comprehensive Guideline Booklet for each TeachNZ scholarship has been created to provide applicants with all the information they need to apply. The Application Forms and Guideline Booklets will be available as a downloadable PDF as each scholarship category opens. All scholarship applicants will need to meet the 2010 eligibility criteria as outlined in the Guideline Booklet.
